How PosiSearch works

Search

We search our own index of approved listings – names, services, products, categories, keywords, descriptions and locations. Results are ranked by relevance and by whether a business actually serves the location you searched for.

Supported causes

Business categories describe what a business provides. Causes describe the positive impact it supports. You can combine a service search with a cause filter.

Impact claims

• Verified Good Business – supporting evidence has been reviewed against published criteria.
• Self-reported – information has been submitted by the business but has not been independently verified.
• Unverified – potentially relevant business whose impact claims have not been confirmed.

Listing approval is separate from verification. Registration or payment never grants verified status or improves organic ranking. Verification can expire or be withdrawn when claims change. Business-submitted figures are labelled as self-reported. Private evidence is visible only to the business and authorised reviewers.

Boosted listings

Approved businesses can pay for a small number of sponsored positions. These are always labelled "Boosted", must be relevant to your search and location, and never affect organic ranking.
